Prof. Dr. Dennis-Kenji Kipker
Scientific Director cyberintelligence.institute
At the interface between business and science, NGOs and start-ups, the Cyber Intelligence Institute (CII) develops new solutions for a secure digital future.
The core ideas are cooperation, dialogue and the interdisciplinary and global exchange of information and knowledge in order to make the country, the economy and society more resilient. This calls for holistic concepts that understand cyber security not only as an abstract technical and organisational responsibility, but as a task for society to protect common European values. The CII is thus actively advocating for greater digital security in an age of new digital challenges.
The second part of the online series in collaboration with CII and the Netzwerk Digital of the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce focuses on new challenges for cybersecurity and the EU-wide cybersecurity regulations.
Value creation in the European Union is heavily dependent on trade – especially trade in digital products. In a world where almost everything is digitised and interconnected, new market opportunities are emerging for digital products, but at the same time new challenges for cybersecurity. As a result, the EU has passed the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). This is a new regulatory framework that sets out cybersecurity requirements for all products with digital elements that are traded in the European single market. On the flip side, digital products that do not comply with these requirements can no longer be sold in the EU.
The event will answer questions about what the changes in the CRA mean for technology manufacturers, importers and distributors, when the regulations are to be implemented and how to best prepare for them by Prof. Dr. Dennis-Kenji Kipker, Scientific Director of the cyberintelligence.institute, in the event on the effects of the threat situation in cyberspace and its consequences for every company.
